    • John Joseph Kelly was born in St. Columbs Wells, Ireland on 2 October 1894 the child on John Kelly and Rosanne Plumb. He had five siblings, namely: Maryann, Cassie, Rose Teresa, Lizzie, and James.

      John Joseph enlisted into the Irish Guards on 22 August 1914 at that time he was working in the Ordnance Survey, 2 Division based in Belfast. John Joseph arrived in France on 4 Jan 1915 and joind his Battalion which was already billeted Richebourg St. Vaast. In February 1915 the 1st Battalion saw action a Cuinchy after recieving an injury John Joseph was evacuated to hospital at Bethune where he died of wounds on 25 February 1915.

      OS records dated April 1917 report his death. The only person on the CWGC to fit the criteria is John Joseph Kelly 4876
